Workshop Opportunity: The Process of Play

I'm excited to be organizing my first workshop!  Join me in Seattle on Saturday, August 29th, for a workshop focusing on process-based practices, including open-ended materials, the child centered environment, and documentation.

WHO:  

Teachers, administrators, child care providers, parents, education students, anyone interested in supporting young children's learning and improving their own practice of teaching.  This workshop is appropriate for people who would like to learn more about open-ended, process-based education with children.

WHAT:

As our access to information increases and we gather more ideas and examples about what early childhood education can look like, we can feel overwhelmed.  This four-hour workshop will focus on applying ideas to daily practice in your setting.  As you prepare for the new school year, we will talk about choosing and presenting materials that help children focus on the process of play; we will also discuss the crucial role that documentation plays.  You will learn about documentation and sharing tools that you can customize for your environment, with time to use these tools at the workshop.
